Willow Ave. Church of Christ has four ministers who attend to various portions of our walks in faith.
Michael has been the pulpit minister at Willow Avenue since 2023. He and his wife, Stacey, quickly meshed into our family here at Willow, bringing energy and wisdom in everything they do. Michael brings deep knowledge and relatable messages to the congregation at Willow each week.
Along with his regular lessons, Michael also teaches smaller bible classes on Sundays and is always thrilled to have personal bible studies with members and non-members alike.
My wife and I moved to Cookeville in October of 2024 to begin working with the congregation here at Willow. I never thought a place could feel like “home” so quickly! There is something about the people here that draws you in and makes you want to work harder, because you know that the family here is all working toward the same goal of getting to Heaven together. I serve here as the associate minister, a full-time resource for all our members who need support or encouragement. Most of my ministry here at Willow is focused on planning and organizing classes and events for the young adults and the children’s ministries. These two ministries are closely related, as most of our kiddos belong to young adults, and so seeing them grow in tangent with one another has been very encouraging.
If you are looking for a supportive place where your family can belong, I encourage you to come visit with us at any time. We would love to grow closer to God together! No matter where you come from, God’s family is always the place for you.
A serious blessing it has been to be the youth minister at Willow Avenue since April of 2025. My wife, daughter, and I moved up here from central Texas, and we have fallen in love with the Upper Cumberland of Tennessee. I have been preaching the Gospel in Texas ever since I started school at the Southwest School of Bible Studies in 2014, and I am determined to continue preaching for the rest of my life.
If I can, I would like to help anyone and everyone grow closer to God. The youth are no exception. In fact, the youth are of great importance and emphasis. We must help them to learn about God now, so they are prepared for life in this world.
Here at Willow, we make strong efforts to help our youth become loving Christians, active members of the church family, and good Bible students. We place a great emphasis on learning the word of God since it alone is "the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes" (Rom. 1:16). If you are looking for a place for your family to grow spiritually, then look no further. We love everyone, and we are here to help everyone.
In addition to his work as one of our Elder, Mike Dyer dedicates himself to presenting God's word as often as he can. Mike hosts a 1pm class every Wednesday in room 14.
