Plan Your Visit

Let's be honest, visiting a church for the first time can be a little intimidating.

If you are looking to visit for the first time, our goal is to make your first visit to Willow a great one. We want to help you make a connection with Jesus and his people. Read on to find learn about what to expect. You can even fill out the form below to let us know when you'll be coming so we can personalize your visit!

What happens when I arrive?

You’ll be welcomed by smiling faces right at the door. Our greeters can help you with any questions and even show you around if you'd like. We're happy to show you where to the auditorium (where we gather for worship), where the restrooms and childcare rooms are located. You can even let us know you’re coming by filling out the short form below.

What is a worship service like?

We will have congregational singing, and you will hear spoken prayers and a lesson that is Bible-centered and applicable to your life. One of the unique things about the Church of Christ is that the music is a cappella. You'll love the beauty and joy of worshiping God from our hearts and with our voices. We believe you will find the singing meaningful and uplifting, with everyone being invited to participate. Plus, all of our songs are conveniently projected onto two large screen in the auditorium!

If you want to check things out before coming, you can stream our services live on YouTube and Facebook. We stream all of our services and Bible classes in the Main Auditorium. But there truly is nothing like gathering with God's people in person!

What should I wear?

There is no dress code. Some of our members dress up, and some dress casually. What’s most important to us is that you are here with us.

What is expected of me?

We hope you’ll participate in the worship service, but don’t feel obligated. You can just observe if that is your choice. We would love for you to hang around after worship so we can welcome you and get to know you! Don’t hesitate to ask any questions or let us know if there is something you’d like to study.

We also would love for you to join us for bible class hour after services on Sunday (and on Wednesdays). You'll find that we have classes for all ages and interests!

What about my kids?

We have classes for all ages! From our babies in cradle roll, all the way up to college age, we provide a learning experience for our young people every Sunday. We also have a thriving youth group that gets together every Wednesday after school for "WAY Days". Our youth group also has regular devos and several retreats each year! Learn more about Willow Avenue Youth (WAY) here.

What about communion (the Lord’s Supper)?

The Church observes a weekly memorial of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross—including unleavened bread (symbolizing the body of Jesus) grape juice (symbolizing the blood of Jesus). You are welcome to participate or quietly observe this celebration of what Jesus did for us on the cross.

Will you ask me for money?

No one will pester you about money or want to look through your finances! That's not what the Bible teaches. During the service, we will have a prayer for our weekly offering where our members will give as they have purposed in their hearts -- either directly in the contribution plate or digitally via Venmo (@WillowAvenuechurchofChrist).

Our guests are not required to contribute.
